The Great Calendar Hack of 2025
With all the frantic change we are spinning around and through, there’s something calming about marking days that fell the same in previous years.
True story. I usually write an update on this basic story every year right around the first of the year. This year it’s late and I blame world events, the severe cold, and the perma chaos that comes with any Trump administration.
The first of February is not too late to find a workable calendar lying about the house. Many calendars go a couple of months into the new year. With fresh tariffs, self rising grocery prices, and the possibility of switch to an economy based upon bitcoin or the slightly stronger monopoly cash, there are worse ways to go than with a recycled calendar.
To get to the point, 2025 on paper is a pretty regular calendar.
Previous year calendars that will work this year are.
1902, 1913, 1919, 1930, 1941, 1947, 1958, 1969, 1975, 1986, 1997, 2003, and 2014. That’s a regular pattern that shows up after two 11-year spans followed by one oc 6. It worked 11 years ago in 2014, 11 years before that in 2003, then 6 years before that in 1997.
The pattern continues after 2025, ready for future duty in 2031, 2042, 2053, 2059, 2070, 2081, 2087, 2098, 2110, and 2121.
If you can’t find one in your past stash, EBay has a surprising selection.
Here’s some that would look great anywhere in the 2025 walls
